For just $10, you can access our online BoatSafe training and begin working through the theory component while you wait for a practical course to become available near you.
How it Works
- Start your online training immediately
- Choose either Boat Licence or Jetski Licence theory
- Join our priority booking list for upcoming practical assessments
- If you book your practical assessment with us, your $10 fee will be credited towards your booking
Practical assessments are booked separately and start from $325 per licence, depending on location.
If we are unable to provide a practical assessment in your area, we may refer you to another approved BoatSafe provider who may be able to assist.

The $10 fee provides access to the online course only. It does not include your practical assessment or licence assessment.
Online course access is valid for 3 months.
Boat and Jetski Licensing
All of our courses have a theory component and a practical assessment. Students will have access to online training and multiple-choice quizzes and will be given an opportunity to practice manoeuvre prior to the assessment.
Online Theory Training
Our online theory training covers everything you need to know about maritime safety and includes multiple-choice quizzes you can complete to test your knowledge.
Theory Assessment
The theory assessment consists of a closed book exam with 50 multiple-choice questions in a 45 minute test period.
Practical Training
The practical training takes place on board our vessels and covers a variety of tasks and manoeuvres a skipper needs to be able to do.
Practical Assessment
Every student will need to pass a practical assessment without assistance or guidance from the Trainer.
