Boat & Jet Ski Licensing FNQ provides practical, on-water training to support students completing the recreational marine licence pathway. Training is undertaken aboard our vessel with an experienced marine trainer.
This practical training is still provided by the same local team, with current course details and new bookings now managed through TEC Australia.

What the Coxswain Grade 3 Pathway Includes
Existing Recreational Marine Driver Licence
Students completing this pathway must already hold a valid Recreational Marine Driver Licence issued by an Australian state or territory.
Practical on-water training
Develop and demonstrate the required practical skills aboard our training vessel with an experienced marine trainer.
Pathway guidance
Receive clear guidance about the practical training and documentation required for the recreational marine licence pathway.
Regional training options
Access scheduled and demand-based practical marine training across North and Far North Queensland.
Important Pathway Information
Completing the practical training alone does not automatically result in the issue of a Coxswain Grade 3 certificate.
Students are responsible for satisfying the current Australian Maritime Safety Authority requirements, including applicable medical, first aid, sea-service, practical-task and application requirements.
