Marine Radio Licence LROCP
Looking to get your marine radio licence? At Boat & Jetski FNQ, we make it easy to complete your LROCP (Long Range Operator’s Certificate of Proficiency – VHF & HF) online.
If your boat is fitted with a VHF marine radio, you are legally required to hold a marine radio licence. The LROCP is also an essential step for anyone working towards commercial skipper qualifications such as the Coxswain Grade 3, Coxswain Grade 1, or Master <24m.
This nationally recognised qualification allows you to operate VHF, HF, and MF marine radios, giving you the skills and certification needed for both recreational boating and the commercial marine industry.

The assessment includes 50 multiple-choice questions (70% pass mark) and a short practical radio skills test

Course Details
Both courses cost $250, which includes the following:
- Study workbook
- Our invigilator time (assessment via Online Classroom)
- All paperwork, processing and handling fees
- Fees to AMC Tasmania to mark the assessment (requirement)
- Issue of your licence upon successful completion.
Booking your Course
We offer marine radio courses five days a week through our flexible online virtual classroom. Course dates and times can be adjusted to suit your schedule. All assessments are completed via Google Meet for your convenience.
